Keep the axes separate
Length is the longer declared direction for the Grace rectangle; width is the other declared direction. Its listed 180 × 100 cm should not be collapsed into a single 180 cm size. The selected JAEGER is a square with both sides listed at 64 cm. A broad rectangle and a compact square can share a style category while doing different jobs in a wardrobe.
Convert units without changing the object
Using the exact conversion 1 inch =2.54 cm, 180 cm is approximately 70.87 inches, 100 cm is 39.37 inches and 64 cm is 25.20 inches. Those are unit conversions of listed dimensions, not fresh measurements. Keep at least the original centimetre values beside the rounded display so that rounding does not become a new product specification.
Use a flat comparison
If a scarf you already like is 160 × 70 cm, Grace’s listed rectangle is 20 cm longer and 30 cm wider. That is enough to understand why it may require a different fold or more bag space. It does not prove a particular knot will hold, that it will stay on shoulders or that a coat collar will accommodate it. Those depend on construction, handling and the intended use.
Do not turn area into performance
Multiplying the two listed directions gives a rectangular planning area: Grace 1.8 square metres and the JAEGER square 0.4096 square metres. This is not usable warmth, insulation, GSM, weight or coverage of a person. Fringe treatment and dimensional tolerances are not established here. For an actual width requirement, compare width directly rather than choosing whichever has the greatest calculated area.
Where the comparison must stop
The Ted Baker source did not establish either dimension, so its length conversion and area remain unknown. A tool should refuse that calculation instead of borrowing the Grace size or a standard scarf size. If dimensions determine the purchase, obtain the exact product-code measurements first and then repeat the comparison on the same declared basis.
