Two records that should not be merged

Ted Baker Navy T188534B says do not iron. JAEGER Black/white T978308J says iron at low temperature. Those are separate selected instructions. Paying £49 or £59 does not create a common premium-accessory care rule, and a wool or silk category alone is not enough to decide which instruction applies.

Think about your planned use

If the purchase is for a trip where you expect to remove creases with an iron, the Ted Baker prohibition matters. It should prompt a different packing or product decision rather than a home experiment to find a setting that seems safe. If you choose JAEGER, the low-temperature instruction still needs to be read with the complete received label; this guide does not infer steam permission, pressing duration or an exact appliance dial position.

Do not borrow permission from a blend

Grace’s source says hand wash but the captured details do not establish an ironing instruction. Unknown is not equivalent to the JAEGER low-temperature permission. If wrinkle management is central to the purchase, ask for the complete Grace care label. A photograph showing a smooth finish is evidence of a styled product image, not a promise that the scarf is crease-free or can be treated with an iron.

A decision with two constraints

Suppose the brief requires a broad wrap and an explicitly approved ironing method. Grace supplies verified broad dimensions but the ironing field is incomplete here. JAEGER supplies a low-temperature ironing line but is a compact square. Neither automatically meets both requirements on this evidence. The next step is a label enquiry for Grace or a search for another verified broad format, not silently dropping one constraint.

Keep the record easy to use

Save an image of the actual label alongside the order code after receipt, then refer to that record before treatment. Do not use a care instruction copied from another colour family without confirmation. No pressing, scorching or heat-resistance experiment was conducted for this site; a source lookup should return the stated instruction or an honest unknown.
